Behind the Scenes Zink Magazine Shoot

Style... Definitely Runs In The Family

I never thought I'd ever say this, but I noticed how stylish my Dad has been.  Looking pretty dapper there Dad! ;) My Dad on the right with my Uncle Randy.

Chaos Magazine

So the Dapper issue of Chaos magazine is finally out! I bought a copy of the issue online for $3 and started scrolling.  I got more and more worried that our editorial didn't make it in the farther down I scrolled but sure enough page 52... "A Sunday Afternoon".

Check it out for yourself and buy your own copy of the Dapper Issue of Chaos at chaos-mag.com

Feeling a Little Famous

One of my first shoots ever!  Helping with a Lanston shoot for Fall 2010 last year.  One of the shoots that started it all.  Through helping out the lines Lanston and Krisa I got to be involved with their lookbook shoots.  They asked me to bring accessories and pairing items that would best represent their brand and the season and theme they were going for.  Through helping with these shoots I discovered my love for styling! Thanks Lanston and Krisa for leading me to my love, my dream, my life, my career.

My Grandma... My Inspiration

Through the years my grandmother has become more and more of an inspiration to me as I've gotten older and more into the fashion industry.  When my grandmother finished high school she studied fashion design which is what I got my degree in.  She had her own line of jewelry, painted in her spare time, modeled, and was even one of the original Columbia Pictures (lady that holds the torch at the beginning of movies) logo.  She was Miss. Los Angeles County in the Miss. America pageant in 1947.  "1947 was the first time that the Miss. America contestants wore two-piece swimsuits in competition"(http://www.missamerica.org/our-miss-americas/1940/review.aspx).

To me, my grandmother is iconic.  Her sense of style is and always has been impeccable and timeless.   My hats off to you Grandma.  I love you and you continue to inspire me each and every day.

In Love With Millinery

For as long as I can remember I've been obsessed with hats of all shapes and sizes.  For those of you who know me really well, know how big my hat closet is and how I die over a new vintage hat.  Just discovered Piers Atkinson and he totally sparked my reoccurring interest of being a  milliner.  I totally want my own millinery business one day, along with the 10 other companies I want. But hey, it's good to have goals. ;) Here are some of my favorite hats and also some of the wildest.  I think Lady Gaga would be proud.
