3.1 Philip Lim

So I'm completely in love with my 3.1 Philip Lim vest I found at my favorite consignment store for $100! I'm completely shocked because the original tag was still on and the price was $750.  I definitely scored on this one! The detailing and craftsmanship on this piece is impecable.  Silk piping and rows of sequins!

A Beautiful Day for Salk

During our weekend getaway to San Diego we decided to make a stop by the Sulk Institute.  My boyfriend is an architect and has instilled in me an appreciation for building structures and modern design.  The Sulk Institute was established in the 1960's by Jonas Salk, the developer of the polio vaccine.  Salk selected architect Louis I. Kahn to design this facility.

Happy Birthday Jess!

For Jess's birthday I originally had an outfit picked out based around the BCBG skirt I recently purchased but sometimes visions in your head don't always look good in person.  My final outfit decision was a sequined cardigan from Buffalo Exchange, leather shorts from H&M, a black tank I found in my closet, Christian Louboutins, Chanel earrings, and a Dior ring.  Felt my outfit was a little 80's-ish so I went with a feathered bang.

Fashioning Fashion

Last Saturday my co-stylists and I decided to take an educational field trip to LACMA's (Los Angeles Contemporary Museum of Art) Fashioning Fashion exhibit.  Here they showcased European Dress in Detail from 1700-1915.  The exhibit inspired us all.  For some it inspired us to go shopping, for me it gave me a few styling ideas and an even greater appreciation for clothing and how it has evolved into what we wear today.

Jacket Moschino, Shirt Lanston, Leggings American Apparel, Boots Urban Outfitters, Purse Vintage Chanel, Ring Urban Outfitters

Love the way these prints and stripes are all different but seem to all work together.
Obsessed with the Leg-O-Mutton Sleeve! The color and sleve shape reminds me of the first dress I drew up on Illustrator.
Loving the way his tie is tied.

Womens undergarments

One of my favorite outfits of the exhibit! I would totally wear this now!
